“You don’t wake up one morning and say, ‘I want to be a drug addict, a stripper, a prostitute.’ You get there one choice at a time. There are approximately 6000 strippers in the metro Atlanta area. And there are hundreds of strip clubs where they dance,” said Cindy Hornemann.

 Then she added, “I am often asked, ‘who are these girls?’”

 Cindy was visiting Heritage Christian Church in Fayetteville, GA. There to talk about the Victoria’s Friends Ministry, she looked out at her audience and asked, “How many of you have daughters, granddaughters, or nieces?”

 Nearly every hand went up.

 Then she told us, “These girls are daughters, granddaughters and nieces. They are somebody’s baby who will do just about anything to obtain love and acceptance.

Strip Club Ministry (in association with Victoria’s Friends)

6000 women in the Atlanta area work in sexually related businesses including approx 250 strip clubs.  Atlanta’s growing sex industry generates $200-240 million a year, which far exceeds the revenues of the Braves, Hawks, and Falcons combined.  In association with Victoria's Friends, Cindy, along with a team of volunteers befriend women who are trapped in the degrading and hopeless lifestyle of Atlanta’s “adult entertainment” industry and introduce them to the love and power of Christ to redeem and transform them through the gospel.

As they go into these clubs bringing gift baskets and loving these women with the unconditional love only Christ can give, they see wounded hearts that have become battered and broken or hardened to protect themselves, open up to the love of God.  Through her own testimony many find hope and the courage to escape this lifestyle that ultimately leads to death and destruction.

Cindy and her husband, Jurgen and their 2 beautiful daughters attend Atlanta City Church in Fairburn, GA.

Jurgen partners with Cindy as a prayer warrior outside in the parking lots while she is inside the clubs praying with the women, and also occasionally speaking with her.  Together they make a powerful team setting women free from the forces of evil in our city.

Bringing hope:

The issues that lead women into this lifestyle are not restricted to those that find themselves in the clubs.  Alcoholism and drug addiction, sexual abuse, abortion, depression, eating disorders, sexual addictions, and more, lead women into lifestyles of abuse or despair.  Because of her own personal experiences in these areas, and having been delivered herself by the love of Jesus Christ, Cindy's heart is to reach out and extend that redeeming love and hope to these precious ones, so loved by the Father.  God has initiated the formation of several teams to counsel, speak, pray, and form relationships that change the lives of women and their children.  Our prayer is that you will join in this ministry to help reach these women that are so precious to the Father’s heart.
